College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) Undergraduate Events

CU Denver's College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) wants to meet you and help you along your journey to college and beyond. We offer different types of events for prospective students and their families to learn about and experience CAP. Please review each event type and select a date at the bottom of the page to register. For in-person visitors, we recommend adding a Campus Tour before or after your session.

Building Tour
A tour of CAP includes a tour of the studio space, viewing student work, classrooms, the Fabrication Lab (Woodshop, Laser Cutter Lab, and 3D Printers), as well as current exhibits. Please email to schedule.

Info Sessions
Virtual and In-Person Info Sessions provide prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the BS Architecture program, the application process, a building tour and the chance to have questions answered. **Please note the sessions are either virtual or in-person, not hybrid.

Studio Class Visits

Curious about what the classroom experience is like as a BS Architecture student? Observe a class in-person for a glimpse into faculty instruction, student engagement and work during a CAP class. Observers join at the start of class but may leave at any time and do not need to stay for the entire class.

Final Jury Reviews
Jury reviews are held at the end of the semester when students present their final studio projects to faculty, peers, and a panel of practicing architects. This is the culmination of all of their hard work and creativity, and a great opportunity to experience an integral part of the architecture program.

School Group Visits to CAP

We host school groups of up to 30 students and can tailor an experience for you based on your interests and time available, whether it's an Info Session and building tour, a short design activity, or additional campus experiences like eating in the residential dining hall (~$10/student) or experiences with other Colleges and Schools at CU Denver. Contact to learn more. We request at least a 30 day notice for planning purposes. **Please note for Fall 2023, we are directing school groups to visit on a Jury Review day due to staffing.
